Welcome to YES!

So much of health care these days seems to focus around “no.”

No, we aren’t accepting new patients.
No, we don’t have an available appointment.

At Bellingham Advanced Medical Imaging, we take a different approach.

We say yes.

Yes, our radiologists are onsite and available to support patients and referring providers.
Yes, our team can help you navigate insurance coverage and understand what to expect during your exam.

We believe high-quality diagnostic imaging should be accessible, timely, and centered around you. From scheduling your appointment to completing your exam, our goal is to make your experience as straightforward and comfortable as possible.

We are also champions of patient choice. We understand that cost is an important part of deciding where to receive your care, especially as high-deductible insurance plans become more common. You shouldn’t have to compromise quality or service to find advanced imaging at an affordable cost.

That’s why we work every day to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging with personalized service, convenient access, and transparent support — empowering you to make informed choices about your health care.

Have questions about your medical imaging? Our team is here to help.

Welcome to yes.

We’d love the opportunity to care for you and show you what makes Bellingham Advanced Medical Imaging a trusted choice for diagnostic imaging.

Subspecialties | Types of Medical Imaging

A picture is worth a thousand words — but only if someone knows how to read it correctly.

In the case of your diagnostic medical images, that someone is a Bellingham Advanced Medical Imaging radiologist.

That means your radiologist is trained not only in medical imaging but also in a subspecialty that focuses on the specific part of your body you’re having imaged.

All radiologists are medical doctors who have taken at least five additional years of training following medical school to learn how to interpret medical images — like X-ray, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, DEXA, and MRI — to detect injuries, disease, and other abnormalities.

Our radiologists complete additional fellowship training beyond residency to develop expertise in specific areas of imaging.

Our doctors have taken specialty fellowships — additional training beyond their radiology residency — to specialize in understanding a specific area of or types of tissue in your body. That means if you have imaging done of your joints, muscles, and bones, a musculoskeletal radiologist will interpret your scans. If your doctor has ordered an exam of your brain, our neuroradiologists will read your images. Our doctors have specialized training in:

  • Body Imaging (MRI liver, MRI pancreas, MRI prostate)
  • Musculoskeletal Radiology
  • Neuroradiology (MRI lumbar spine, MRI brain)
  • Vascular Radiology

No matter what area of your body is imaged, you can rest easy knowing your radiologist is a specialist in that particular area.

When medical imaging is needed to better understand your health, it’s important to have a specialty-trained radiologist interpret your images in the context of your individual medical history and unique clinical story.

Our Radiologists

Bellingham Advanced Medical Imaging is staffed by a team of highly trained physicians, board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. Our physicians lend their knowledge and subspecialties to our network of clinics and represent Skagit Radiology.

All of our partners also have fellowship training in a variety of subspecialties. These specialized physicians interpret imaging exams and perform site-specific procedures.
